About Us

Both Christine and Jason were born in the same year and are currently professional engineers who were blessed with the opportunity to work in the same city for the same company, Cummins Inc.

This long relationship has not been without its challenges...but it is a testament of love in spite of...

How We Met

It all started on the small island of Barbados located in the Caribbean Sea, only 166 sq. miles but rich in personality and beautiful beaches. The local community college, Barbados community college (BCC) is where the two first met. Christine and Jason both took physics as one of their majors and studied together. Christine was able to 'figure Jason out' and this intrigued him. Consequently he decided to pursue Christine, with Charmaine's assistance and so the relationship began in November 2003.

Jason was very popular in school but he desired a 'quality girl'. Christine was all that and much more. On the surface many believed the two would not stay together but they were all proven wrong as Christine's cute looks and strong personality always kept Jason excited for the next day to see his sweetheart. Christine was equally excited to spend time with Jason and his enjoyed his spontaneous nature. The two dated for two years at the community college and then came the time to apply to university.

College Sweethearts

Both Christine & Jason had their eyes set on applying to the university in the U.S. but never truly expected that they would be following each other. In fact, Christine persuaded Jason to apply to the only U.S. school she had applied to which was the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) located in Melbourne, FL. They both got in and as fate would have it Jason had difficulty with paperwork at the other schools he got into also and decided to attend FIT.

Our Biggest Challenge

They dated all four years at FIT and it was there, in his junior year, that Jason got hurt in a very bad motorcycle accident. Christine saw him through his recovery and this strengthened their love for one another. After Christine completed her BS in chemical engineering, the two were geographically separated for the first time since they first met when she went off to Atlanta, GA for graduate school at Georgia Tech, leaving Jason in Florida where he lived and worked after completing his BS in Electrical Engineering.

The Proposal

Jason proposed on a Saturday February 18th, 2012 in Orlando, FL at the romantic Season's 52 restaurant.

Back In The Same Zip Code

Christine later completed her Masters of Science in Chemical Engineering and interviewed and landed a job in Indiana. Jason soon also applied to the same company (above) and was also offered a job as an engineer there.
